A Faith Bigger than Fear!!
John 14: 1-3, KJV
1) Let not you heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me! 2) In My Father’s house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you…I go to prepare a place for you…3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Some people bear three kinds of trouble—the ones they’ve had, the ones they have, and the ones they expect to have…Read that over and let it sink in just a moment…But listen, these verses, from the gospel of John, they contain power that should an will strengthen your faith so it will have supremacy over all fear…
As I read these verses, spoken by Jesus Christ Himself, I hear a better strategy for us all…1) Accept the past, 2) live in the present, 3) and place the future in God’s capable hands…
1) If you are troubled, in a definite since, that is fear of some sort…In the first verse of this text, Jesus said, “Let not your hearts be troubled,” so if we listen and then by faith, put this exhortation from the very lips of Jesus Himself, into action, we can be delivered from troubled hearts or fear through trust in God & Christ… Trust is faith & faith if trust!
2) In the second verse, Jesus tells us that there is already, in His Father’s house, many mansions…Then in common language He say’s, “Listen, I am being completely honest with you, they are there, and I am going to prepare one just for you.”
When you and I are preparing something, this usually means we are doing a certain work of some sort…That make sense, right?
3) Then in the third verse, Christ takes hope even deeper into the future…He tells us, “Surly, if I go to prepare this place for you, I am going to come back and pick you up and bring you unto Myself, so that you can be with Me there also…”
So, studying these verses should give us release from the past, strength for the present, and, never ending hope that our future in is God’s capable hands…
I don’t know about you, but it does my spirit good, to know that, one day I will be, delivered from this present state into the state of living with Christ eternally…
As you face the challenges of everyday life, you may be comforted by this fact…Trouble of every kind, is passing…And worries, of every kind are temporary…But God’s love is everlasting…The troubles that concern you will pass…God remains…And with these thought in mind, it’s now time to place today’s challenges in their proper place…In God hands…In His hands, “Faith is bigger that Fear.”
God bless,

This is something that I struggle with. I believe what Jesus says in these verses about what He is preparing and that He will return to escort us to our eternal home. But my struggle is allowing myself to be troubled by insignificant things. I also worry about issues I have no control over. I know that when I do this I am sinning, because I am demonstrating my lack of faith that God has complete control over the situation. I truely believe that god is allowing me to go through some of the things for 2 reasons. First I think He allows me to have small troubles to strengthen my faith. He has to treat me like a child by sitting back and watching me go through a little something, and when it is over and I see how God was in control and the whole time, I then realize I had nothing to worry about, so why didn't I just give it to Him in the beginning....DUH! Then secondly I think I have tests! He will again allow me to go through these things to test what I learned. I feeli like Job sometimes. But unlike Job, I sure let Him down a lot, yet He refuses to turn His back on me. He knows my heart and He knows my weaknesses, therefore He, in love, continues to work towards my growth. Right now I thank God for my trials, troubles, and tests. (3 T's...sounds like a sermon title). I know He knows what is best for me and because of my prayer time I am enlightened and at peace with His will for me. Although this seems to be a cycle, with Him by my side I can decrease my short comings which will increase my closeness with Him. Thank you for letting me take up so much room on your blog. Maybe I should have done my own post, huh? Thank you for your post. I believe God used your keyboard to communicate with me. Love Ya! Jessica
